Wang Tao, Professor of History at Nanjing University. Wang received his Ph.D. from Peking University in 2008. From 2008-2009 he was a Visiting Scholar at University Freiburg in Germany, from 2015-2016 at Harvard University. Wang’s work over the past five years has mainly focused on German history and digital history. He is currently the director of Digital History Research Center at Nanjing University. He is the author of The Bishop’s Epistolary Space: Paradigm of communication based on Augustine's Epistulae (Nanjing, 2011). His latest article used digital methods to text mining prosopographic data reveals hidden information in Allgemeine Deutsche Biographie. At Nanjing University, Wang’s classes range from first-year seminars on world history in general to graduate courses on German history. He also taught courses on digital history.
